Holoxica demonstrated a Holographic 3D Telexistence system for remote object interaction at a combined DASA (Defence and Security Accelerator), DSTL (Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) and NDA (Nuclear Decommissioning Authority) event.
Holoxica’s holographic telexistence system allows operations in dangerous environments without actually having to be there. With the use of innovative technologies such as a 3D depth camera and a light-field display, a human operator sees in real 3D (without needing to wear a headset) what the remotely operated robot sees. A digital twin displayed on the holographic screen provides real time feedback to the operator.
The telexistence system can be used for bomb disposal, nuclear decommissioning, space exploration, or in case of biological, nuclear or chemical exposure.
